Media Coverage | September 2026
The proposed Waste-to-Wealth initiative between IIT (ISM) Dhanbad and Sansar Green, led by Rajeev Singh, Founder & Managing Director of Sansar Green, received coverage across leading newspapers and digital media platforms, including Hindustan, Dainik Jagran, Dainik Bhaskar and other regional media outlets.

The initiative focuses on converting dry leaves collected from the IIT (ISM) Dhanbad campus into nutrient-rich organic manure enriched with beneficial microorganisms. The project aims to support soil health, sustainable agriculture, green waste management and circular economy practices.
The proposed project was discussed with Prof. Alok Kumar Das, Dean, CIIE, IIT (ISM) Dhanbad; Mrs. Anjana, District Agriculture Officer, Dhanbad; and Mrityunjay Sharma, Assistant Registrar, IIT (ISM) Dhanbad.

Under the proposed arrangement, Sansar Green will invest in machinery, equipment, manpower, production and operations, while IIT (ISM) Dhanbad will provide the required space for setting up the production unit and storing the finished manure.
The organic manure produced through the initiative is also proposed to benefit farmers, nursery operators, gardening enthusiasts and the wider community, extending the impact beyond the IIT campus.
This growing media coverage reflects increasing recognition of a practical model that connects IIT-led institutional collaboration, agricultural entrepreneurship, soil health, microbial technology, environmental sustainability and farmer benefit.

For Rajeev Singh and Sansar Green, this media visibility represents more than publicity. It reflects wider recognition of efforts to connect scientific institutions, agricultural innovation and practical implementation for soil health and sustainable development.
The larger objective is to create a scalable Waste-to-Wealth model in which dry leaves and green waste are converted into useful agricultural resources rather than being burned or discarded. If successfully implemented, such a model could potentially be explored for other educational institutions, government campuses, industrial areas and residential complexes. Pasted markdown
