Giridih, 29 September 2026:
“You may begin in a small city, but your dreams should never be limited by its size.”
With this powerful message, Mr. Rajeev Singh, Founder & Managing Director of Sansar Green, participated as a Special Invitee at the TEJAS Programme of the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Government of India, organised at the Giridih District Collectorate.
The programme brought together young entrepreneurs, students, startup founders, business representatives and government officials for an important dialogue on entrepreneurship, innovation, ease of doing business and emerging opportunities for enterprise development in Giridih and Jharkhand.
The Deputy Commissioner, Giridih, attended the programme as the Chief Guest. The event also witnessed the presence of the DDC, DFO, General Manager of the Industries Department, representatives of DPIIT, district administration officials, local businessmen, students and aspiring entrepreneurs.
Big Dreams Do Not Require a Big City
During his address, Mr. Rajeev Singh emphasised that in today’s technology-driven and digitally connected economy, successful businesses are no longer limited to metropolitan cities.
He said:
“Opportunities are no longer confined to big cities. With the right vision, technology, hard work and understanding of the market, a nationally relevant business can be built even from Giridih.”
He encouraged young people to look beyond geographical limitations while remaining deeply connected to the real challenges around them.
According to him, meaningful entrepreneurship begins when an individual identifies a genuine problem and develops a solution that creates value for customers, society and the local economy.

Turning Local Problems into Entrepreneurial Opportunities
Mr. Singh urged young entrepreneurs to look at everyday problems as potential business opportunities.
India’s diverse social, agricultural and economic landscape presents enormous possibilities for startups in areas such as agriculture, food processing, rural logistics, manufacturing, e-commerce, digital services, education, environmental solutions and technology-enabled businesses.
His message to the participants was clear:
“Do not treat your city as your limitation. Turn problems into opportunities. Start small, but think big.”
He highlighted that entrepreneurship should not be limited to profit-making alone. A strong business should solve real problems, earn customer trust, create employment and contribute to economic development.
Sharing Lessons from the Sansar Green Journey
Mr. Rajeev Singh also shared practical experiences from the entrepreneurial journey of Sansar Green.
He explained that a good product alone is not enough to build a successful business. Sustainable growth requires a strong team, a deep understanding of customers, constant learning, effective use of technology and continuous engagement with the market.
He also highlighted the growing importance of digital commerce and changing consumer behaviour.
According to him, digital platforms have dramatically reduced the geographical barriers faced by entrepreneurs in smaller cities. With effective branding, e-commerce, logistics and customer service, a locally developed product can reach customers across the state and the country.
Strong Potential for Startups and Agri-Business in Jharkhand
During the programme, Mr. Singh spoke about the considerable entrepreneurial potential of Jharkhand.
He highlighted opportunities in sectors such as agri-business, food processing, organic farming, biological inputs, rural enterprises, e-commerce, manufacturing, digital services and agricultural value addition.
Jharkhand, he noted, has strong natural resources, agricultural potential, traditional knowledge and a large young population. By combining these strengths with technology, innovation and modern business models, the state can create significant new employment and enterprise opportunities.
He encouraged young people not only to look for jobs, but also to consider becoming entrepreneurs capable of creating employment for others.
Ease of Doing Business and the Role of Technology
Mr. Singh also discussed the importance of Ease of Doing Business and awareness of the startup ecosystem.
He encouraged aspiring entrepreneurs to understand government schemes, startup support mechanisms, incubation opportunities, digital registrations, financial assistance, technology partnerships and online market access.
He emphasised that technology should not be viewed as a barrier, but as a tool that can help businesses grow faster and operate more efficiently.
Emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, data analytics, digital marketing, e-commerce and technology-enabled services are increasingly becoming essential components of modern business development.
Local Knowledge, Local Talent and National Markets
One of the central ideas of Mr. Singh’s address was that starting a business locally can be a strategic advantage rather than a limitation.
Local entrepreneurs often understand the problems, customers, resources and economic conditions of their region more deeply than outsiders.
When this local knowledge is combined with technology, professional management and national market access, businesses from smaller cities can grow into strong and sustainable enterprises.
This approach, he said, can become a powerful model for entrepreneurship across rural and semi-urban India.
Building a Strong Entrepreneurial Ecosystem Through Collaboration
Mr. Rajeev Singh stressed that a strong startup ecosystem cannot be created by entrepreneurs alone.
It requires collaboration among the district administration, industries department, educational institutions, financial institutions, established businesses, startup founders and technology partners.
With the right mentoring, training, access to markets, institutional support and financial awareness, many more successful enterprises can emerge from Giridih and other districts of Jharkhand.
Programmes such as TEJAS can play an important role in bringing these stakeholders together and creating an environment where entrepreneurship can flourish.
A Message to the Youth: Become Job Creators
Mr. Singh urged the young participants to think beyond individual success and focus on creating wider impact.
He said that entrepreneurship becomes truly meaningful when a business not only grows itself, but also creates opportunities for others.
His message was:
“Starting small is not a weakness. Many successful businesses began with a simple idea. What matters is whether the problem is meaningful, the solution is useful, and whether you have the patience and commitment to keep building.”
From Giridih to National Impact
For Sansar Green, participation in the TEJAS Programme represented more than a formal engagement.
It reflected the organisation’s broader commitment to connecting agriculture, innovation, technology, entrepreneurship and rural development with new economic opportunities.
Under the leadership of Mr. Rajeev Singh, Sansar Green continues to work towards developing practical solutions for agriculture and rural communities by combining technology, market access, innovation and entrepreneurship.
Sansar Green extends its sincere gratitude to the District Administration, Giridih, DPIIT, the Industries Department and all organisers of the TEJAS Programme for providing a meaningful platform for interaction, learning and inspiration.
Start from Giridih — think nationally.
Build local solutions — create wider impact.
Begin small — but dream big.
