Our Restoration Project Model
1. Understand the Site
Every project begins with site-level understanding.
This includes the water body’s condition, catchment, soil, water flow, surrounding land use, existing vegetation, local biodiversity, pollution issues and community needs.
2. Develop an Ecological Plan
The project plan may include appropriate restoration measures, green-buffer plantation, erosion control, biodiversity support, cleaning awareness, catchment protection and long-term maintenance.
3. Involve the Community
Water restoration cannot succeed without local ownership.
Farmers, residents, students, panchayats, institutions, volunteers and community groups are encouraged to participate in awareness, plantation, protection and monitoring activities.
4. Build Green Protection
Suitable vegetation and plantation around water ecosystems can help stabilise soil, improve habitat, reduce erosion and support ecological recovery.
5. Protect and Monitor
Follow-up is essential. Projects should include maintenance responsibility, public awareness, waste-management practices, plantation care and periodic review.
