Rajeev Singh is an Indian environmental leader, agripreneur and sustainability advocate committed to advancing a greener, healthier and more self-reliant India.
His work brings together microbial farming, soil health, tree plantation, ecological restoration, indigenous knowledge preservation, agricultural research and community development. Guided by the belief that environmental progress and economic opportunity must grow together, he works to create practical solutions that support farmers, restore ecosystems and inspire public participation.
His mission is simple: restore nature, empower farmers and inspire generations.
A Journey Rooted in Nature
For more than two decades, Rajeev Singh has worked with landscapes, soil, water, plants and communities. His experience in plantation, green infrastructure and ecological development shaped a lifelong commitment to sustainable development.
His work has supported plantation and landscape initiatives across institutional, educational, public and community spaces. Through these experiences, he developed a clear understanding that a healthy environment is not separate from development—it is the foundation of food security, clean water, public health, livelihoods and national resilience.
Today, his work focuses on building solutions that connect science with field action and individual responsibility with collective change.

Leading India’s Living Soil Mission
Rajeev Singh believes that the future of Indian agriculture begins below the ground—with living, healthy soil.
Through Sansar Green and SIART, he promotes microbial farming, soil diagnostics, biofertiliser innovation, natural farming and crop-specific agricultural solutions. A key focus is the development of region-specific microbial strain banks, recognising that soil biology, climate, moisture and crop conditions vary from place to place.
The approach connects soil testing, microbial technology, bio-inputs, farmer training, field demonstrations and market access through the “Mitti Se Mandi Tak” vision.
His agricultural work seeks to help farmers improve productivity, reduce unnecessary dependence on chemical inputs, protect soil biodiversity and build more climate-resilient farming systems.
Harit Sansar: Planting More Than Trees
Under Rajeev Singh’s leadership, Harit Sansar has grown as a people-led plantation and environmental-awareness mission.
The initiative promotes native trees, fruit trees, medicinal plants, agroforestry, community forests, school plantation programmes and public participation in protecting the environment. Its philosophy is that plantation is not a one-day activity—it is a long-term responsibility that requires suitable species selection, soil preparation, watering, protection, monitoring and community ownership.
Harit Sansar works with farmers, students, volunteers, institutions, women’s groups and local communities to build a culture where every family, village and organisation becomes a partner in creating a greener India.
Protecting Indigenous Knowledge Through Hodopathy
Rajeev Singh is also committed to preserving Hodopathy—an indigenous knowledge tradition connected with Adivasi communities, forest ecosystems, medicinal plants, traditional foods and nature-based practices.
His work seeks to document this heritage responsibly while promoting plant conservation, oral-history preservation, ethical research, community participation and respect for traditional knowledge holders.
Through Hodopathy, the aim is not only to protect cultural heritage but also to create a meaningful bridge between indigenous wisdom, scientific research, biodiversity conservation and sustainable rural livelihoods.
Research, Innovation and Farmer Empowerment
Rajeev Singh believes that research has real value only when it reaches people’s fields and improves their lives.
Through SIART, he supports research, capacity building and innovation in areas including:
- Soil microbiology and microbial bio-inputs
- Biofertiliser and biopesticide development
- Natural, organic and regenerative farming
- Soil testing and crop nutrition
- Tissue culture and quality planting material
- Climate-smart agriculture
- Farmer training and rural entrepreneurship

The work is strengthened by engagements with agricultural universities, researchers and innovation ecosystems, including IIT (ISM) Dhanbad and Bihar Agricultural University, Sabour.
Water, Biodiversity and Ecological Restoration
Rajeev Singh’s environmental work extends beyond agriculture. He advocates for the restoration of ponds, lakes, wetlands, degraded landscapes and local biodiversity.
He believes that water conservation, plantation, soil health and rural prosperity are deeply connected. Restoring water bodies supports groundwater recharge, agricultural resilience, biodiversity and healthier communities. Protecting native plants and ecological systems is therefore an essential part of building a climate-resilient India.
A Voice for Community-Led Change
Rajeev Singh’s approach is rooted in participation. He believes that lasting progress is created when farmers, youth, women, researchers, institutions, businesses and citizens work together.
Through public programmes, farmer meetings, training sessions, plantation drives, institutional engagements and digital outreach, he encourages people to take practical action for soil, water, trees, biodiversity and sustainable livelihoods.
His leadership reflects a belief that every citizen can contribute to environmental responsibility and nation-building.
