Dainik Jagran highlights the launch of three websites in Giridih to safeguard centuries-old Adivasi knowledge, conserve medicinal plants and promote forest biodiversity.

Dainik Jagran | Dhanbad Edition | 9 October 2026

GIRIDIH, JHARKHAND: An initiative led by environmentalist and sustainability advocate Rajeev Singh to preserve Hodopathy, a traditional indigenous healing system associated with Jharkhand’s Adivasi communities, has been featured in Dainik Jagran’s Dhanbad edition on October 9, 2026.

The report, published under the headline “गिरिडीह में होड़ोपैथी चिकित्सा पद्धति के संरक्षण की पहल” (Initiative to Preserve the Traditional Hodopathy Healing System in Giridih), highlighted efforts to document generations-old indigenous knowledge, conserve medicinal plants and protect the forest ecosystems closely associated with traditional healing practices.

As part of the initiative, three dedicated digital platforms — Hodopathy.org, Hodopathy.in and Hodopathy.com — were inaugurated at Singh’s residential office in Giridih. The websites aim to preserve and share the traditional knowledge of Adivasi elders, experienced healers and local plant experts, much of which has been passed down orally for generations.

The initiative is also linked to Hodopathy Park in Gandey, Giridih, bringing together indigenous knowledge preservation, medicinal plant conservation and community participation.

Documenting Traditional Knowledge for Future Generations

Speaking about the initiative, Singh emphasised that Adivasi communities possess valuable knowledge of forests, medicinal plants and their traditional uses. However, much of this heritage remains undocumented and is at risk of disappearing as experienced knowledge holders grow older.

To address this concern, the project team is collecting information through interviews with traditional healers, community elders and local plant experts. The documented knowledge is being reviewed and compared with available scientific literature.

The programme will progress in three phases. The first focuses on developing a digital repository of traditional knowledge. The second involves publishing a book documenting the experiences of senior healers and the identification and customary uses of medicinal plants. The third phase will provide training to young people in plant identification, conservation and documentation.

The initiative also proposes collaboration with research institutions to scientifically investigate the safety and effectiveness of selected traditional medicinal practices.

Conservation of Medicinal Plants and Forest Biodiversity

Singh stressed that preserving Hodopathy requires protecting the medicinal plants and forests from which much of this traditional knowledge originates.

The initiative seeks to encourage the cultivation and conservation of indigenous medicinal plant species, strengthen community involvement in environmental protection and contribute to forest and biodiversity conservation.

He appealed to traditional healers, Adivasi elders, forest experts and rural communities to share their experiences. Students, teachers, researchers and social organisations were also invited to participate in the programme.

Singh further emphasised that the consent, rights and contributions of traditional knowledge holders would be respected throughout the documentation process.

Community Participation in Website Launch

The inauguration programme brought together traditional healers, Adivasi community representatives and members of the organising team.

Among those present were CA Rakesh, Rimi Singh, Saman, Shubham, Sonali, Anchal Singh, Anand Murmu, Vinita Tudu and Manoj Hembrom, along with other participants.

The initiative seeks to connect indigenous wisdom with digital technology, scientific research and ecological conservation, creating opportunities for younger generations to learn from traditional knowledge holders.

The coverage in Dainik Jagran has brought wider attention to the importance of preserving Jharkhand’s indigenous heritage and protecting the medicinal plants and forests that sustain it.

By combining traditional knowledge documentation, youth participation and biodiversity conservation, the programme aims to develop a meaningful model for safeguarding indigenous knowledge and natural heritage for future generations.

Dhanbad, Jharkhand | 16 September 2026

In a significant step towards sustainable agriculture and environmental innovation, Rajeev Singh, Founder & Managing Director of Sansar Green, is leading a collaborative initiative with IIT (ISM) Dhanbad to convert dry leaves from the institute campus into nutrient-rich organic manure enriched with beneficial microorganisms.

The initiative reflects a shared vision of turning campus green waste into a useful agricultural resource through science, microbial technology and practical implementation.

Rajeev Singh Discusses Project with IIT (ISM) Leadership

The proposed project was discussed in detail among Prof. Alok Kumar Das, Dean, CIIE, IIT (ISM) Dhanbad; Rajeev Singh of Sansar Green; Mrs. Anjana, District Agriculture Officer, Dhanbad; and Mrityunjay Sharma, Assistant Registrar, IIT (ISM) Dhanbad.

The discussion focused on developing a workable model for scientifically processing dry leaves and converting them into high-quality organic manure that can support soil health and sustainable farming.

From IIT Campus Waste to Valuable Agricultural Input

Under the proposed project, dry leaves collected from the IIT (ISM) Dhanbad campus will be scientifically decomposed and then enriched with nutrients and beneficial microorganisms.

The resulting manure may help improve soil organic matter, microbial activity, soil structure, moisture retention and root development, while also supporting efforts to reduce excessive dependence on chemical fertilisers.

For Rajeev Singh, the initiative represents a practical example of how scientific institutions and agri-enterprises can work together to create solutions with direct agricultural and environmental value.

Sansar Green to Invest in the Production Unit

A key feature of the proposed collaboration is the operational model.

Sansar Green will make the required investment in machinery, equipment, manpower, production and operations, while IIT (ISM) Dhanbad will provide the required space for setting up the production unit and storing the finished manure.

This arrangement combines IIT (ISM)’s institutional ecosystem with Sansar Green’s implementation and agricultural experience.

Benefits for Farmers and the Wider Community

The manure produced through the initiative is planned for use in the gardens, nurseries, plantations and landscaping areas of IIT (ISM) Dhanbad.

It is also proposed to be made available to farmers, nursery operators, gardening enthusiasts and the general public, extending the benefits of the project beyond the institute campus. Waste to Wealth Through Science and Agriculture

The project is strongly aligned with the Waste to Wealth concept.

Instead of treating dry leaves as waste or burning them, the initiative seeks to convert them into a productive organic resource, linking soil health, circular economy, environmental protection and sustainable agriculture.

If successfully implemented, the model could later be explored for adoption in educational institutions, government campuses, industrial areas, residential complexes and urban local bodies.

Rajeev Singh of Sansar Green seated in discussion with IIT ISM Dhanbad officials and agriculture representatives about the waste-to-wealth organic manure initiative.

Building Practical Innovation with IIT (ISM) Dhanbad

For Rajeev Singh and Sansar Green, the initiative is an important step in strengthening collaboration with one of India’s leading technical institutions.

The project brings together IIT (ISM) Dhanbad’s academic and institutional ecosystem with Sansar Green’s focus on soil health, microbial technology and sustainable agriculture.

The larger objective is to show how simple environmental challenges can become scalable agricultural solutions through the right combination of research, entrepreneurship, and implementation.

“Innovation becomes meaningful when it moves from institutions to the field and creates practical value for farmers, soil and the environment.” — Rajeev Singh

Sansar Green

Agriculture Export Roadmap–2030

Jharkhand Agriculture Export Roadmap–2030

Processing • Packaging • Storage • Logistics • Marketing • Agri Entrepreneurship

Sansar Green

Local Farms to Global Markets

Ranchi, Jharkhand | 26 August 2026

It was a proud moment for Sansar Green as its Founder & Managing Director, Mr. Rajeev Singh, jointly inaugurated the agricultural export workshop with the Director of Agriculture, Jharkhand, and the Director of SAMETI, Jharkhand, at Krishi Bhavan, SAMETI, Ranchi.

During the programme, Mr. Rajeev Singh presented the “Jharkhand Agriculture Export Roadmap 2030”, outlining a practical strategy to connect Jharkhand’s farmers and Farmer Producer Organisations with national and global markets.

The roadmap focused on identifying district-specific agricultural products, strengthening FPOs, improving quality standards, developing processing and packaging infrastructure, building cold-chain and storage facilities, and creating stronger market and export linkages.

The workshop, organised with the participation of SAMETI and APEDA, brought together Farmer Producer Organisations, agricultural officials and sector experts from across Jharkhand.

Mr. Singh highlighted the strong export potential of products such as potato, tamarind, mahua, mango, jackfruit, turmeric, chilli, tomato and other traditional agricultural produce of Jharkhand.

He emphasised that increasing production alone is not enough. Farmers and FPOs must also focus on quality certification, grading, processing, modern packaging, scientific storage, traceability and efficient supply chainsto compete in organised and international markets.

Rajeev Singh, Founder & Managing Director of Sansar Green, presents the Jharkhand Agriculture Export Roadmap 2030 to FPO representatives, agriculture officials and sector stakeholders at Krishi Bhavan, SAMETI, Ranchi, on 26 August 2026.

“Jharkhand’s farmers have the potential to reach global markets. Our task is to connect quality production with processing, certification, strong FPOs and reliable market linkages.” — Rajeev Singh

FPOs as the Backbone of Agricultural Export Growth

Mr. Rajeev Singh highlighted the central role of Farmer Producer Organisations in creating an export-oriented agricultural ecosystem.

FPOs can help small and marginal farmers aggregate produce, maintain quality standards, undertake grading and processing, and negotiate directly with institutional buyers, processors and exporters.

A stronger FPO ecosystem can reduce dependence on intermediaries, improve price realisation and create better market access for farmers.

District-Specific Export Strategy

A major recommendation of the roadmap was to identify the agricultural strengths of each district and prepare a separate export and marketing strategy for key products.

The proposed value-chain approach includes:

Production → Aggregation → Grading → Processing → Packaging → Storage → Certification → Market Linkage → Export

Such a structured system can help Jharkhand move from commodity-based agriculture towards higher-value and market-driven agricultural development.

Strengthening Infrastructure for Export

Mr. Singh stressed the need to build essential infrastructure closer to production areas, including:

  • Cold-chain facilities
  • Primary processing centres
  • Pack houses
  • Sorting and grading units
  • Quality testing laboratories
  • Scientific storage systems
  • Export-compliant packaging
  • Traceability systems
  • Efficient logistics networks

These facilities can reduce post-harvest losses while improving product quality and farmer income.

Role of APEDA

The participation of APEDA was significant in helping farmers and FPOs better understand export procedures, international quality standards, certification, documentation, packaging requirements and global market expectations.

Mr. Singh underlined that farmers entering export markets need not only better production practices, but also knowledge of compliance, consistency and supply-chain management.

Technology and Digital Market Linkages

Sansar Green considers technology and digital market connectivity essential for the future of agricultural exports.

Digital platforms can connect FPOs with buyers, processors, institutional markets and exporters while providing better access to information on market demand, prices, quality specifications and procurement opportunities.

This can help farmers and producer organisations make more informed and market-oriented decisions.

Building a Strong Jharkhand Agricultural Identity

Mr. Rajeev Singh emphasised that Jharkhand has the potential to build a distinct agricultural identity based on its unique products, origin and quality.

With systematic branding, certification, processing and packaging, products from Jharkhand can gain stronger recognition in both national and international markets.

The long-term objective of the Jharkhand Agriculture Export Roadmap 2030 is to create a stronger ecosystem where farmers, FPOs, government institutions, processors, exporters and market partners work together.

For Sansar Green, the opportunity to jointly inaugurate the workshop and present this roadmap before FPO representatives from across Jharkhand marked an important milestone in its journey towards farmer empowerment, market linkage, agricultural innovation and rural entrepreneurship.

From Jharkhand’s farms to national and global markets — building stronger value chains, stronger FPOs and better opportunities for farmers.

Jharkhand | September 2026

The participation of Mr. Rajeev Singh, Founder & Managing Director of Sansar Green, as an Industry Expert at the historic First Convocation of Babu Dinesh Singh University, Garhwa, received coverage across various media platforms and publications.

The convocation, held on 23 September 2026, brought together academic leaders, distinguished guests, faculty members, experts and graduating students. The event was graced by the Hon’ble Governor of Jharkhand, Shri Santosh Kumar Gangwar, as the Chief Guest.

Media coverage highlighted Mr. Singh’s participation in the convocation as well as his wider engagement with the university’s academic and technical teams.

Recognition Beyond the Convocation Ceremony

Mr. Rajeev Singh’s visit went beyond ceremonial participation.

During the programme, he interacted with university leadership and held meaningful discussions with the Agriculture Department and Engineering Department teams on opportunities for future collaboration.

The discussions covered areas including:

  • Soil health and sustainable agriculture
  • Biological and microbial-based farming solutions
  • Farmer training and capacity building
  • Agricultural entrepreneurship
  • Agricultural mechanisation
  • Digital and smart agriculture
  • Engineering solutions for rural and agricultural challenges
  • Student innovation and practical projects
  • Research-to-field knowledge transfer
  • University–industry–farmer collaboration

These interactions reflected a broader effort to connect academic expertise with real-world agricultural and rural development challenges.

Media Attention on University–Industry Collaboration

The media coverage also drew attention to the growing importance of stronger partnerships between universities, industry experts, researchers and farmers.

Sansar Green believes that university research can create greater social and economic value when scientific knowledge is translated into practical solutions for farmers, entrepreneurs and rural communities.

Mr. Singh emphasised that collaboration between Agriculture and Engineering disciplines can play a major role in shaping the future of farming.

Modern agriculture increasingly requires the integration of:

Biology • Engineering • Data • Digital Technology • Automation • Entrepreneurship

Such interdisciplinary approaches can help create practical, affordable and scalable solutions for Indian agriculture.

Connecting Academic Knowledge with Farmers

A significant aspect of the discussions was the possibility of building stronger linkages between university expertise and farming communities, including farmers in Giridih and other regions of Jharkhand.

The interaction explored ways in which technical guidance, expert sessions, farmer training, field demonstrations and knowledge-sharing initiatives could help make scientific expertise more accessible at the grassroots level.

Mr. Singh noted that the impact of research becomes much stronger when it moves beyond classrooms and laboratories and reaches people who can apply it in the field.

Growing Visibility for Sansar Green

Coverage of the event across various media platforms represents another important step in Sansar Green’s growing institutional and public visibility.

The recognition reflects the company’s continued engagement in areas such as:

Agricultural Innovation • Soil Health • Technology • Farmer Empowerment • Rural Entrepreneurship • Research Collaboration • Skill Development

Sansar Green continues to work towards creating stronger connections between scientific institutions, industry, entrepreneurs and farming communities.

A Platform for Future Collaboration

Participation in the First Convocation also created opportunities for dialogue with senior academicians and experts from different institutions.

These interactions reinforced Sansar Green’s belief that future progress in agriculture and rural development will depend on meaningful collaboration rather than isolated efforts.

Universities bring scientific knowledge and research capacity.

Industry brings implementation experience and market understanding.

Farmers bring practical knowledge and real-world challenges.

When these three come together, innovation can move from concept to measurable impact.

Media Coverage as Institutional Recognition

For Sansar Green, media coverage of Mr. Rajeev Singh’s participation is not viewed merely as publicity.

It represents recognition of a broader journey focused on building meaningful partnerships across agriculture, research, technology, education and entrepreneurship.

Such visibility also helps bring greater attention to the need for stronger knowledge transfer between academic institutions and the field.

Sansar Green remains committed to supporting partnerships that can convert research into solutions, technology into accessibility and knowledge into grassroots impact.

From university to field.
From research to application.
From collaboration to impact.
